In the war-ravaged land of Kazdel, the Sarkaz endure a brutal existence defined by scarcity and survival. Kael, a young boy born into this chaos, lives with his pacifist Sarkaz parents, Kaz and Lysa, who scavenge rather than fight, shunning the bloodshed that stains their heritage. But when food runs out and LMD dwindles, they're forced to loot an abandoned building. Kaz and Lysa,  both worried for their son Kael, told him to hide behind rubble to make sure he's safe. 

If only the child knew the suffering that was going to come next...


Author's note: Hi. This is my first story about Arknights. Basically, instead of focusing this story on the Doctor, I want to focus on the world of Terra  (which is the official name of the Arknights world) by taking the perspective of a Sarkaz child named Kael. I'm still a beginner, so don't expect updates every w̷e̷e̷k̷ month since I'm still in school, after all.All Rights Reserved

As the world continues to fall apart, very few forces continue to try and keep the world together. As the Catastrophe continues to claim more lives, and the deadly virus Stellapithy infects more and more people, very little people have the courage to face the world head on. That is, except for a small group of people determined to change the world, one life at a time. Augustia is a group filled with those who have gathered the courage to face the injustices the world throws at them. While on the outside it seems to stand as a medical facility tasked with healing those in need, Augustia is much more than that. But everything starts somewhere, and Augustia is a relatively new business facilitated by a brilliant young doctor with his significant other and past-colleague. Arkdays is a story that takes inspiration from Arknights and builds it into a full narrative, which is crafted with love and care for the characters and environment it builds. This, however, is the Prologue to the main story of Arkdays, and thus could be considered a one-shot (though make no mistake, the rough transcription for this is around twenty pages). The full Arkdays narrative is no where near completion, but I figured I'd share my starting off point with everyone anyways. That being said, I hope you enjoy the story!

The Doctor and Rhodes Island have unified the world under a banner and pushed them towards Theresis. The Reunion has been routed and was forced into hiding... Hey, don't get Oripathy, we may have a cure but it still isn't good to have. Get aboard a Theresa MBT, or a Babel AFV, and let's go explore what Terra has to offer. A prequel Short story before the main series begins, focused on Earth.

Arknights - Wayfarer by Maxiception

A lone kitsune within an endless wilderness. The life of a Catastrophe Messenger is one of uncertainty. With no end in sight, they traverse the incredibly hostile landscapes that define Terra beyond the walls of the nomadic cities, collecting and delivering vital information for the survival of Terran civilization against the onslaught of devastating Catastrophes. The story follows Apollo, a kitsune-turned-Catastrophe Messenger, through the many areas and aspects of Terra that individuals outside his profession will never get to witness. All while ensuring his own survival among an environment where nature itself is out for blood. "It's all about saving lives. More lives." ...How naive. If only it were that easy. Deadly anomalies. Dangerous wildlife. Tensions between factions whose effects cannot be avoided, even in the middle of nowhere. And a haunting past. In short... business as usual. Time to get to work. This story is a bit like Arknights meets Death Stranding, since the job of a 'Catastrophe Messenger' and general situation is strangely similar to a 'Porter'. It will operate almost completely independently from the plot of the game itself. This story is thus aimed more towards readers who like to immerse themselves into a unique perspective of the world of Arknights and not into a recreation of the in-game plot. So if you like Arknights, but can't wrap your head around the game's plot, then this story should fit for you. (Definetly not an excuse for the fact that the author is just interested in the general worldbuilding itself and not the game's plot directly.) As such, mistakes are to be expected, for this is my first experimental dive into the world of Arknights. Feel free to correct them if found. The 'Mature' tag is only for occasional descriptions of injuries and blood, as Messengers often face dangerous situations that can cause injury and sometimes even death. These will not be constant and not extreme. Arknights belongs to Yostar.
