As a child, I always remember being taught by older people. Words of wisdom to live by they say. Live by the rules. Take the right path. Never do shortcuts. I believed them. I actually did. But then one day, life found me and I saw it. Now, I live it. Everyday. And life? One hell of a teacher, better than those from the older people. It gave me good ones and slapped me with worse ones most times. That's when I knew. Those the old folks taught me? They were all just that-words. Always easier said than done. Ideal, never realistic. Tell me, if you could live by it, why do we sometimes wish if we could turn back time? Erase some decisions and replace with new ones? Why do you have to stare at your ceiling at night, dreading what is to come? Why do you cry in silent when deep inside you wish someone will hear you cry? Live by the rules. Take the right path. Never do shortcuts. If only life is easy. If only love is easier. All Rights Reserved
