Little Things

I dipped the brush in the paint and and stroked it across the canvas. My arm moved along it, bringing life to the empty canvas.

I stood back and looked at my work. There was something missing.

I pondered what to do when I heard footsteps behind me. I turned and saw him.

"Here." He took the brush from me and dipped it in the paint, finishing off the eyes. He put it down and looked at me. "There wasn't any life in them."

I stood there, dumbstruck.

Rose is a shy girl, always keeping to herself. She doesn't do anything but read and paint. Her sister was the one who took all the attention.

That changes one day, when Rose and her sister meet five boys from a band, and happens to catch the attention of one.

But will he make Rose see all the little things he sees?
