I dipped the brush in the paint and and stroked it across the canvas. My arm moved along it, bringing life to the empty canvas.
I stood back and looked at my work. There was something missing.
I pondered what to do when I heard footsteps behind me. I turned and saw him.
"Here." He took the brush from me and dipped it in the paint, finishing off the eyes. He put it down and looked at me. "There wasn't any life in them."
I stood there, dumbstruck.
Rose is a shy girl, always keeping to herself. She doesn't do anything but read and paint. Her sister was the one who took all the attention.
That changes one day, when Rose and her sister meet five boys from a band, and happens to catch the attention of one.
But will he make Rose see all the little things he sees?

Smile at a Stranger (1D/ Niall)
NIALL: What in the world just happened? I choked at seeing this girl? And did a spit take when I actually got a good look at her? What the hell is wrong with me? LOUIS: I turn around because I'm sure that would have made Summer laugh. But she remains silent. Her hands are still doing something with my phone and the stereo. Her face is blank looking at Niall with her eyes slightly squinted. That's weird. Summer has laughed almost every time one of us does something funny. ZAYN: "But you're One Direction." I hear her mumble. She sighs. "And that matters because?" She doesn't need to be so insecure around us. She just needs to be herself. I know that's what Niall likes. She turns around, giving me a look and with her hands on her hips. "Do I need to explain it to you?" She says sassily. Then she giggles turning back around. HARRY: "Where do you want to go?" The way her American accent blends in with her awkwardness and sassiness is attractive. And it's also funny because Niall hasn't taken his eyes off her the whole time. Mission accepted. Niall and Summer. LIAM: I look at him with a smirk on my face. He furrows his eyebrows at me. "What?" "Summer will be here soon and with all of us busy with our interviews. I thought Niall could occupy her." Zayn squints his eyes at me and comes right up in my face. "What?" I back up laughing a bit. He backs off. "You're quite the mastermind." He gives me a nod of approval. SUMMER: Man, how are we living in a world where a normal teenage girl can't fangirl anytime and anywhere? This sucks. Blue Flame
Zayn has a temper. A horrible temper. When he meets Kelsey while camping, everything is fine. That is, until he yells at her. Constantly. Despite his anger issues, they 'fake date' because the boys are always making fun of Zayn and how he doesn't have a girlfriend. It escalates from there. "Did you mean them?" "What?" "Those kisses?" "What? No of course not. It was a joke right?" "Yeah...Just a joke." -:-:-:-:-:- I've been asked before to explain the title and here goes: Blue is what Zayn calls Kelsey. (You know this if you've read the second chapter) The flame part is because Zayn has a fire inside him, fueled with anger. After he meets Kelsey, aka Blue, that ball of angry fire turns into a fire fueled by something else; love. Also, blue flames burn hotter than any other kind of regular flame. (Red, orange, etc.) This perfectly describes Zayn and Kelsey's relationship. Aka, Dumbass and Blue. :) Enjoy!Complete

I walked on the nearly empty bus in New York City, which was very rare. It was the middle of the night and this was the last train going around the tracks. It was only me in the car for a few stops. I was hiding my face with a hoodie. I had my headphones in when he walked in. I looked up and our eyes met. He looked familiar and I quickly looked away. He's probably a fan and followed me. I probably met him at a meet and greet, at least that's what I thought. I felt a presence next to me and looked up to see the green/blue eyes that were so familiar. I took one of my earbuds out. "Hi?" I asked. "Hey. If you don't mind me asking, but where are you from?" He asked. "Let me know your name first." I said still cautious. I paused my music and wrapped the earbuds around my phone and put it in my pocket. "Denzel Weller." He said holding out his hand. "Rose Pitcher." I told him taking his hand. He looked so familiar. His name tried to break through a wall in my memories. I looked around us to see that there was one person left on the train besides us. I took my hood off revealing my turquoise hair. I just got it done and that's what I'm going to my hotel from. "So, where are you from?" He asked me. "We say where we're from at the same time." I told him. He nodded. "1.....2.......3!" I said. "LA." We said at the same time. I looked at him surprised. I took a closer look at him. He looked like he was around the same age as me, 21-22. I studied his features. He had smaller than average ears, an average sized nose, a strong jaw line, short medium brown hair, and then his eyes. I stared into his eyes and saw that they held familiarity.Complete
