What does it take for a hero to be made? Maybe instantly, if someone brave enough takes up the mantle to be one. Maybe they were destined to be one at birth. Or maybe they were given such a title out of sheer luck, because someone saw that spark in them.
...
Or maybe an accidental mishap that throws you, and your new-made friends, into a life-or-death situation. In which you are racing against a homicidal deranged wizard with a literal, cult following in recovering cursed gems to save not only their kingdom, but the country itself.

Through the darkness, the computer screen illuminated the pale skin of Adelae's face around the black mask. Scrolling through the submitted questions, she came across one that made her smile. "Dear Lady Shade," She read aloud to herself. "Why did you choose to be a villain instead of a hero?" No, dear KittyStan41. The classic goals of the Hero might seem epic and noble, but in the end it all comes down to stopping the Villain. What kind of life is that, when your only goals derive from the actions of someone else? Your whole life is used up as a preventative measure. Now does that sound like a good way to live? "I chose to be a villain not because I enjoy hurting people, but because I have goals that I plan to achieve. Don't bother asking what they are. If I told you, everyone would know, and people (baby heroes) would get in the way. Then how would I achieve them? I aspire to more. Is there need for a better reason?"Complete

This is the backstory of my Dungeons and Dragons: Dochor. I've always wanted to play D&D. Before I even started playing, I already created my character, like way before. I always knew I wanted to play as a Dragonborn (They are just so cool okay).
