Project Kaiju explores the tumultuous aftermath of a catastrophic event known as the Great Kaiju Invasion, which struck in the year 2026. This disaster was triggered by a colossal earthquake, infamously referred to as the Earthquake of 2026, which ravaged cities, obliterated islands, and devastated marine ecosystems worldwide. As a result of this seismic upheaval, massive fissures emerged in urban landscapes and bodies of water across the globe, allowing colossal Kaiju-gigantic monsters of unimaginable strength and resilience-to rise from the depths and unleash havoc upon humanity.
In the wake of this chaos, societies have retreated underground, constructing vast subterranean cities designed to provide refuge from the relentless attacks of these titanic creatures. The government, recognizing the need for advanced measures to safeguard its citizens, has called upon the expertise of a covert organization known as the RUC (Researchers of Unusual Creatures). This group has been diligently working on a groundbreaking initiative called Project Kaiju, which aims to develop Kaiju Mechs-sophisticated, armored machines capable of matching the might of the giants they will face.
With the threat of the Kaiju looming ever larger, the government is now on a desperate quest to assemble a team of brave individuals willing to venture above ground. These selected fighters, armed with cutting-edge technology and unparalleled determination, will take on the monumental challenge of restoring order to a world thrown into chaos by the Great Kaiju Invasion and reclaiming humanity's place on the surface.
