Introverts, I call out to you: This book is about Athena, the nerdiest of introverts. However, like everyone she was hit by the curse of falling in love. Unable to manage her feelings, she can't hold it anymore. What to do? She fell in love with her best friend, James but...her rival is only perfection itself. How to beat a perfect extrovert magnificent person? Not a single flaw compared to us, introverts. Bree is perfect. Who in the world would choose a flawed but unique introvert rather than a goddess, a princess who is just perfection? This is the first book of an amazing sequel. It will bring you back to the reality of how hard life as an introvert is. Hard but breathtaking at the same time. Each and every introvert is unique in their own way, not all of us react or act the same way but we're not as cold-hearted as people think we are. We have feelings too... Athena is exactly like a secondary character in movies or books. The kind of character we despise or that we don't pay much attention to. Bree and James are usually the protagonists. The lead character, the prince and the gay friend, who apparently has no other life than be devoted to the lead! A typical classic combination often found in romantic movies and books. This case is different, it's from a different perspective, from the point of view which is an outsider of this original combination. The feelings of this secondary character, her events, her point of views. I hope that you'll be able to allow Athena and sometimes James to express themselves. Worth a try, don't you think? [COMPLETED - ONLY MINORLY EDITED] ******************************************************** Greek myths - true or false? They should be false, and to 16-year-old Sophie Claire, it's never crossed her mind that they aren't. Until one day in History class when her teacher spends a day on Greek mythology and something strange starts happening - her friends and classmates begin to tell myths about certain Greek deities with frightening precision. And for some reason, she's began to feel a certain affinity for Persephone, the Greek maiden who was kidnapped by Hades, the Lord of the Underworld, and forced into a marriage with him. This isn't some coincidence or freak dream, she later finds out from a host of strange individuals who claim they're from Olympus, the grandoise home of the gods themselves. She is actually a modern reincarnation of the goddess Persephone, and she's not the only one. A few of her classmates also happen to represent the gods and goddesses from popular Greek myths, and the fact that all of them are present means that something monumental is about to happen. Something like being the girl to change Persephone's future, to break the cycle of kidnapper and victim - all by passing a trial. It won't be simple, she knows, and she's not quite that eager to take it up, but from the moment she found out that she was Persephone, there was no way to back out. She should've known, however, that dealing with all powerful, immortal deities wasn't going to be easy. They've got a few secrets and personality flaws up their sleeves, and they could be deadly. More than deadly - murderous.

The Shadowed Song of Ithaca

20 parts Complete

Kallistrate was never a darling of the altars. Raised in Sparta and rumored to be Hades' blood, she learned early that survival is a craft. Her gifts-hearing the dead, bending shadow, keeping her spine steady-make her a useful problem the gods can't ignore. When she's sent to Ithaca to marry Prince Telemachus, she finds a court rotting under a hundred hungry men and a queen who refuses to bend. Ares trains her at dawn. Athena tests her at dusk. The island's dead crowd her name with pleas, and every rite becomes a battlefield. But Kallistrate is no one's spectacle. With Penelope at her side and Telemachus at her shoulder, she turns custom into strategy: sacred lamps, feast-day oaths, the old challenges that remember who a king is. As omens sharpen and a beggar with storm-bright eyes kneels at a dais, Ithaca's halls brace for the reckoning. A lyrical retelling filled with political intrigue, found courage, and slow-burn devotion, The Shadowed Song of Ithaca asks what it costs to keep a home-and whether a girl made of shadows can write her own ending. For fans of Madeline Miller, Jennifer Saint, Jorge Rivera-Herrans and mythic romantasy with sharp edges. Content notes: violence; death/grief; gods' manipulation; trauma mentions; court/political tension, mentions of assault (NEVER graphic), men being intimidating.
