Once upon a time, a tale known in many forms... A Pale princess of a kingdom far away, whose lips were red as blood and skin white as snow. However, one tale of such has never been told. Maria Blanca was a sweet and kind princess but was forgotten by everyone. She is a fascinating maiden whose beauty reflects the edelweiss flower of her kingdom-and such beauty was envied by her aunt, and now her kingdom's queen, Aunt Gertrude. The pale princess suffered pain but never forgot the power of grace and kindness. There is also mystery, death, and somewhat involves a bright red apple.

Snow White has always been recognized for her pale skin, her ruby lips, her hair as dark as a raven, and her sweet disposition. Behind this outward beauty lies a secret that only a few people even suspect. There was a reason beyond mere jealousy that motivated the new Queen to drive Snow White from the castle. Never fear, dear reader; a prince will find her. Oh, yes. But at what price? -- I wrote this as my first foray into the Wattpad world, in which I took up the challenge of #justwriteit and #altending. However I found that re-envisioning a classic tale such as Snow White made more sense to me than simply changing the ending. I did have an idea of where the story *could* have gone, and that is what I ended up writing. Hope you like it.
