I am a monster. I am a monster for leaving my father to die on that horrible day when they caught up to us. Maybe this is stupid to feel this way. I would have died either way. The only difference is dying in cowardice, for running away from your prison, or dying in pride, going down fighting for a noble cause, knowing that you changed something. That decision is harder than you think. And I'll be facing it soon enough. Btw I'm so sorry that this is all over the place; I wrote it in 6th grade lol. Always there is a easy and hard. A better and a worse. Running is easy. Running from the person you work for ? Without a doubt hard. I guess I'll just have to say the truth. Even if I have to say it to myself. I love you boss-even if you don't . I understand why. I hurt you for the better. The worse? You hate me. But I should have know that was the least of our problems.

Being orphaned at 11 isn't that bad. I mean, your mother dying at home, right in front of your eyes and your dad leaving you to go on a "supposed" hunting trip and never coming back. Yeah, that doesn't faze me at all. Also, being scarred at 10, naw. Might bite you in the ass later, but what can you do about it. Loving your best friend even though your other best friend loves you, that can be a bitch. Learning that your tribe was hiding the biggest secret of your life well, you just need to read to find out.

I knew I was a freak, I'm weird not stupid - even if I did act like it half the time. It wasn’t normal to be like me, to be afraid of things everyone loves, needs to survive even. Different- 1) Not the same as another, or each other; Unlike in nature, form or quality. I thought being different was a good thing. You know, the whole 'Im not conforming to you' deal. I thought I was unique, my own person. Apparently not everyone thinks being different is a good thing. They're afraid of my difference. Maybe it's my long white hair? Or my glowing silver eyes? Or it could just be because.... I'm not fully human. I tried to keep it a secret. Really I did. I knew the consequence of something like this getting out. So my secret stayed a secret. All until the day the little girl walked out in front of the truck.

I was drowning. I knew that. I also knew that the hands around my throat, pushing me deeper into the river water was the cause. What I didn't know was who was drowning me and why. It hurt thinking. It hurt to do anything right now. But I still screamed under the cold water and pushed the hands away as hard as I could. It didn't have much effect. I fought and fought, but I was getting weaker, and colder. The pain was overbearing. I couldn't breathe. It was the worst pain imaginable; and as the hands that were around my neck were forcibly ripped off by some unknown force, I slipped deeper into the depths of the river. My hair was straight above me along with my arms. My eyes were open and the water burned. A darkness started to pull me under, taking the pain away. I felt a small pressure around my waist, before the darkness completely consumed me. The last thing I remember is thinking, save me.

The stinging burn of the water from my fresh cuts. The hot salty liquid streaming down my red hot cheeks. The times I am in so much pain that I can't even cry anymore.

There are times when you don't know what to think or what to do. I guess after being so disappointed and left by the one person you thought could never leave you, you tend to lose the ability to react logically. I know for a fact that I don't act like myself anymore, but I didn't seem to be able to change that. We often get told not to drink too much, but when everything you think about when sober is how pointless everything is, you can be considered as an exception. At least, I think it's better if I can't constantly think about her and how I missed her touch, her words, everything when really, she also ruined me. We're all broken. Sometimes, it's just the reality of life hitting you too hard, sometimes it's someone breaking you. Whatever the cause, we all struggle to live and move on. I just wish I wasn't so alone through this and that someone could help me live with myself.
