In the shadow of Morgoth's reign, a northern kingdom of humans was lost to time, its legacy forgotten by all. Alexia Eiswyn, the future Queen of the North, has lived her life within her kingdom's icy palace, knowing nothing but stories of the rest of Middle-earth. On the day of her arranged marriage to a man she cannot love, Alexia flees, unknowingly stepping back into the world that is Middle-earth. Now, in a land on the brink of war, Alexia's heart and destiny are forever changed when she encounters Thorin Oakenshield, the King Under the Mountain, and their fates entwine. Torn between duty and love, Alexia must face her past and the forces that threaten not only her future, but the future of Middle-earth itself.
The echoes of forgotten kingdoms will rise, and love will light the way for those brave enough to defy the darkness.

The Darkling(Legolas/The Hobbit) Book 1 ✔️ by ThaleCarter

"You talk too much elf-boy," Arya muttered, her voice hoarse from all the screaming she had done due to the pain of her injuries. Legolas scrunched up his nose in disdain of the nickname, but a smile soon found his way onto his face. "I am not a boy." Her eyes opened then, and her familiar hazel eyes met his striking blue ones. A small smile made itself present on her face as she looked at him, a twinkle of mischief evident in her eyes. "No. You are not." ¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨¨ Arya woke up some years ago with a grey-haired wizard leaning over her. She had no memories, no indications that told her who or what she was. With the outer appearances of an elf, but eyes that flash orange and strange symbols that appear on her skin - no one seems able to tell her anything about her past. She joined the quest of Thorin's dwarven company to have something to do, and she quickly became a part of their group. After a long and arduous journey but still a far away from the mountain they stumble into trouble. And whom is there to save her, but a certain Mirkwood prince with long blond hair and a pair of startling blue eyes. Unspoken ( A Legolas Love Story ) by DormantAuthor
54 parts Complete
AFTER the Battle of Five Armies, an elf prince journeys to the north of Middle Earth in search of the mysterious Strider. But to also escape the grief of a 'love unspoken' as well as the oppressive regime of his father, King Thranduil. There among the Dúnedain, Legolas finds friendship, adventure, a sense of humor and a female ranger who is not quite what she seems. Is he fated to forever love another unrequited? And what of the broken relationship with his father, will the prince's choices drive a deeper wedge between them? A classic love story, filled with adventure and intrigue, but ALSO a journey into the unwritten years of the beginning of an epic friendship with Aragorn; all set prior to 'The Lord of the Rings'. *Feb 2018: 2nd in The Middle Earth Awards* *June 2018: 2nd in Arkenstone (The Hobbit) category, The Tolkien Awards* *July 2018: Official Featured Wattpad Fanfiction* *Jan 2019: #3 in Romance Hotlist (181k stories) -0-0-0-0-0- I may have nicknamed this story 'Pride and Prejudice for Elves', our silver-haired princeling has several centuries of repression he needs to work through, as well lighten up - before he can become the elf that we know and love in LOTR! The story is COMPLETE! All votes and comments greatly appreciated. I'd be absolutely thrilled to have you join me on this journey of self-discovery in Middle Earth. The best writing in this story belongs to @GreenScholarTales, who kindly allowed me to weave my romance into her story, 'Starting Anew.' Please go and see her other works and her original series on Wattpad, The Book of Terrus. The beautiful painting on the cover was kindly loaned by the highly talented Irishmellow, see her awesome work at https://irishmellow.deviantart.com/ Copyright: Tolkien owns all the familiar characters, Jackson & Co. own Tauriel and the starting premise, Green Scholar owns several significant events and almost all of the rangers ... but one, Wren, she is all mine!

Echoes in the Greenwood // ThranduilxOC

23 parts Complete

Nerwen is no ordinary daughter of the Eldar. Touched by the blood of the ancient ones and gifted with elemental magic long forgotten, she is summoned to the Greenwood on the eve of war. Sent by Galadriel, bound by purpose, and haunted by a past of loss and silence, Nerwen carries a power the Enemy has already begun to hunt. There she meets Thranduil-king of starlight and ice, carved by grief, crowned in thorns of pride. What begins as wary distance deepens into something neither can name. As the darkness spreads from Dol Guldur and the dwarves of Erebor awaken a fire beneath the mountain, fate draws them closer, even as old wounds threaten to tear them apart. From the shadowed halls of Mirkwood to the burning skies over Dale, Echoes in the Greenwood weaves a tale of war, sacrifice, and slow-burning love. It is the story of a warrior who carries too much, a king who dares to hope again, and a bond powerful enough to bend even the will of the Valar. And when all light seems lost... the Greenwood sings her name. All of the original characters from Tolkien are not mine. All of the others are of my own creative power.
