The 75th Hunger Games are fast approaching, and this year, the Games will be like no other. For the third Quarter Quell, the Capitol has decided to select tributes from the pool of existing victors-no matter their age. This means that every tribute in the arena has killed before, and they aren't afraid to do it again. The Games are about to get even deadlier.

Ava Rivera, 19, from District 12, won the 74th Hunger Games-but at a cost. In the final moments, Ava was forced to take the life of her best friend, Dylan. Tricked by the game makers, she and Dylan believed they could both survive if they were the last two tributes standing. But when the Capitol changed the rules, Ava had no choice but to end Dylan's life-or see them both executed. Now, she must return to the arena for a second time, along with other past victors, to fight once again.

Determined to keep a low profile and avoid the spotlight, Ava is intent on surviving the 75th Hunger Games. But there's one problem: Adrenna Mallory, the vicious career from district 2, has her eyes set on Ava. Winner of the 70th Hunger Games, Adrenna holds the record for the most kills in a single game-and she's fixated on Ava. Why? No one knows.

With danger closing in from all sides, Ava must outwit and outlast her fellow victors-and face the terrifying possibility that she may not survive the Games a second time. Will she make it through the arena, or will she fall at the hands of Adrenna or is there something more to Adrenna than what it seems?

Almost every tribute had drowned besides the obvious victor, Annie Cresta, and the survivor that had gone missing, Gale's little sister [........] Hawthorne After her impossible escape from death, she embarks on a mission to be reunited this the girl she had loved and left behind-- a one-sided love- Katniss Everdeen. Throughout the story, she realizes that from her going missing for so long, the relationship she had built with Katniss had been long in the past, and she had been replaced with her brother, Gale, and Katniss's new admirer, Peeta Mellark. Follow as the story takes you into how everything they had became just a memory and their attempt to rebuild the relationship [.......] always wanted. Authors Note: I tried to make this story as book accurate as possible, but of course with their being a new leading character added, the story will not follow it directly. I did this on purpose. There are also head canons in this because of another character. Most important, this is a lesbian based fan fiction. I am not claiming Katniss's sexuality whatsoever, in fact, in the story, it is obvious that the insert character's love is completely one sided. This story can take on some adult themes and language, like the original trilogy does, so please be aware of that.
