In the aftermath of Lord Farquaad's downfall, the kingdom of Duloc falls into ruin, leaving its citizens scattered and its once-imposing structures abandoned. Elowen, a woman bound to a life of silence and servitude under Farquaad's oppressive rule, finds herself abandoned in the decaying kingdom. As Shrek and Fiona find their happily ever after, Elowen's world crumbles around her. With no family, no friends, and no future in Duloc, Elowen is forced to confront the painful truth that she is alone in a world that has moved on without her.
