Summary
In The Curse of the Forgotten Lords, Ewan Macrae, a seasoned gamekeeper in Glen Nant National Forest, investigates a series of brutal sheep killings that point to something far more sinister than local predators. Rumors of mysterious black cats haunting the Highlands resurface, but Ewan soon discovers these creatures are not mere legends-they are ancient shapeshifters, once powerful lords of the land, cursed by witches to remain trapped in their animal forms.

As Ewan seeks answers, he turns to Morag, a local seer who reveals the truth: the curse is weakening, and if it breaks, the Black Clans will rise again. However, the witches, who still hold sway in the shadows, will do anything to prevent this from happening. As the balance of power shifts, Ewan is drawn deeper into a world where magic, betrayal, and ancient grudges collide.

To protect the Highlands and uncover the truth, Ewan must confront the forces that seek to keep the Black Clans imprisoned-and discover if the prophecy can truly be fulfilled before the witches strike again.

lingorm fanfiction if you like this vote for more...love you readers... Ling, a 26-year-old bakery owner in the city, returns to her ancestral village, Fawnridge, after her grandfather's death. She plans to sell the old cottage and return quickly-but grief and memories root her longer than expected. In the wild garden, she discovers a white cat with amber eyes watching her as if it knows her. The cat, whom Ling names Orm, becomes her quiet companion. She talks to Orm about her past-her abandonment by her parents, her cold upbringing with her grandfather, and the loneliness that has chased her into adulthood. What Ling doesn't know is that Orm is Kornnaphat, a powerful woman cursed a hundred years ago by a jealous witch she once loved. The curse turned her into a cat until someone offered her unconditional love-not romantic, but true love rooted in companionship, trust, and shared pain. One stormy night, after Ling breaks down and whispers to Orm, "You're the only one who's ever made me feel safe," the curse shatters. Orm becomes human again. Now, Kornnaphat must learn how to live again-and hide her secret from the village while living as a "relative" of Ling's. As they live and bake and rebuild, romantic feelings bloom. But shadows stir. The old witch's descendants still hunt for Kornnaphat, afraid her rebirth could unravel their hidden magic. Now, Ling and Kornnaphat must protect each other while deciding if their love is truly fate-or just another part of the curse.
