Sora stumbled as his thoughts weighed him down, and his legs gave out under him. He collapsed to the ground, staring up at the night sky. The stars were scattered above him, distant and indifferent to his suffering. He rubbed his eyes, the tears mixing with the dirt on his face. It was at that moment he saw something,

A streak of light. A burning tail of fire. A meteor.

His heart skipped a beat, and he rubbed his eyes again, unsure if he was seeing things. But when he looked up once more, the meteor was still there, cutting through the sky, and falling rapidly toward the Earth. His curiosity piqued, and he pushed himself up from the ground, ignoring the pain shooting through his limbs.

He followed the trail of the meteor, which led him toward an empty lot at the edge of town. As he neared the spot, his heart pounded faster. The air felt thick like something significant was about to happen. The meteor landed just a few feet in front of him, striking the ground with a small but noticeable tremor making him flinch a bit

"What the heck is happening am I dreaming?" Sora asked as he pinched himself but he didn't wake up this was real life 

He hesitated, but something deep within urged him to investigate. With a deep breath, Sora approached the smoking crater left by the meteor's impact. The ground was scorched, and a faint, eerie glow emanated from the heart of the crater. He cautiously stepped forward, his senses on high alert, but he couldn't shake the feeling that something extraordinary was about to change in his life.Todos os Direitos Reservados

The aliens pity these "little creatures"-they just don't want to leave their home, but Earth is falling apart at the seams, and they are determined to take the stubborn little humans to the safety of one of the mother planets. My hair was stuck to my face from all the sweat and blood. Everything was spinning around me and the ground seemed like it was shaking. Groaning I sat down and put my head on my knees. He knows who I am. He knows how I look like. He knows where I work so possible knows where I live. I am not safe anymore... no where. While I was in my own world I heard faint sounds behind me but I didn't bother to look or run away. The footsteps got closer and I was pretty sure it was Walker's men. I should run. I should try to fight. But what's the point in trying to run away? He would eventually find me and if he has his way he would most likely kill me. If this is my fate then why am I trying to fight it? I felt someone harshly grab my waist and pull me up and I complied. They dragged me down the alley and into the busy street. I heard the opening of a car and the next thing I knew I was being thrown into a car. My head hit the hard leather seat and the door shut behind me. Maybe this is how my life will end. Maybe I should just let it happen. Maybe I was destined to die alone as a no one. With that I let the darkness consume me.

Kale had been out taking his dog out for a final bathroom break before heading to bed when he saw it. A ball of light flashed brightly in the sky followed by a crashing sound only seconds later. It hadn't hit too far from his grandmother's house he was looking after for the weeks coming. He had taken the dog back inside and grabbed a hoodie from the coat rack. It wasn't strange for him to take late night walks when he was visiting. He headed toward where he was sure he'd find the meteor thinking it'd make a pretty cool decoration for his coffee table. As he walked toward it he couldn't help but notice how quiet the night had gotten. There wasn't even the usual crickets or frogs chirping. That was when he heard it. A guttural cry of something nearby, he wasn't sure if it was an animal at first but by the end of the sound, he was sure it was a man. He hurried his pace regretting having left his cell phone on the counter by the door. Hoping he wasn't going to find someone seriously injured or even dead. A current original work in progress an adventure inspired by Mass Effect and Star Trek (which will become more evident in later chapters) started out as a Black Panther fan fiction in the early stages but evolved into my own story before I started writing. Garry, his handler, introduces Xeno to the industrial version of the black box, allowing Xeno's pineal gland access to synthetic sensory perception with the turn of a dial, along with the Noumenol patch, a skin absorbed drug that stabilizes his vital signs so that he doesn't suffer a cardiac arrest. Xeno's initial mission is to test the black box on the field, under Garry's watchful eye, and to locate Trianne, an ex co-worker, ex model, ex pole dancer for the Shoki Pao, gone missing and showing signs of spontaneous human combustion, an emerging side effect of Black Magic, and a public safety hazard. All he has to do is bring Trianne back to Intellegella for treatment. It's that simple . . . according to Garry.

As a last resort and with a dying planet, the Supreme Government created the City, a place to contain the infected survivors suitable for the experiment. Those in the first stages of illness became ideal candidates to receive the neuroinhibitor. Having their feelings restrained and their memory altered, those who come of age are designated a life partner through a Selection process, thus preserving the humankind. A few decades after the trial had started, scientists had a major breakthrough. The nanites, which are highly chemically reactive organisms, are changing their bio-engineered purpose when dopamine levels are high. With a new generation of nanoids, stronger and smarter to fight the battle, the virus doesn't have a chance. Many attempts were made to create a man-made version of synthetic dopamine and each time the outcome was a disaster. Their goal is to create new generations, immune to the virus. These are called Purebloods, the offsprings of those who find pure love, the only cure to save them from a violent death. Running out of time, the Experiment entered in its final stages. To minimize the threats, the Colonies have sent their best soldiers to oversee the trial and protect its key subjects. If only things were going according to plan, or better...stay hidden.
