A chance encounter in the rain brings two childhood friends back together after years apart. What was meant to be a simple reunion stirs old emotions, unresolved pasts, and a secret that one of them carries-one that others are starting to talk about.

"We should do this again," he said, his voice hopeful.
"I can't," I whispered, forcing a smile that didn't reach my eyes.
"Why?"
I hesitated, feeling the weight of everything I couldn't say.
"Because some things are better left unsaid."

As whispers spread and the truth threatens to surface, will love be enough to withstand what has been hidden for so long? Or will the past finally catch up with them?

Mature themes, and strong language! 18+ only. It's been 10 years, since Kate chose Logan. 10 years since she broke Rome's heart. As I make my way back, I accidently bump into a man. "Oh gosh, I'm sorry." I say apologetically. "It's fine. Don't worry." His voice. I know that voice. "Rome?" I say in disbelief. The man pulls down the hood on his jacket, revealing his face. It is Rome. He looks older, he still looks good, but I can see, he's not in a good place in himself. He's smiling, but behind that smile, his eyes are full of sadness, and anger. "Hey Kate." He whispers sheepishly. My mouth opens to reply, but no words come out. I'm in shock. It's been a little over 9 years. He's the same, but he's not. "H_how have you been?" I say stuttering a little. "I've been good. How are you?" Our eyes meet for a split second, there's something there, I don't know what it is, but his eyes are trying to say something. "I've been.. Good." I shrug. I'm not lying, but I suppose right now, things could be better. What else could I say? Oh, me and your old best friend, you know that one that betrayed you? Yeah well him, we kinda had a fight, because we were about to have sex, and he didn't want to use a condom, he wants more kids, I don't. So I've been searching for him. I can't find him though. Yeah. No. I won't say that. "Where's Logan?" He says looking around. Ugh, what am I supposed to say? "Oh, he.. He will be back soon. He went for a walk." Such a bad liar. "Want some company, while you stroll around?" He says so innocently. I know I shouldn't, but I can trust myself, and Logan should know he can trust me too. So I just nod, and we begin to walk. Little does Kate know, meeting Rome after 10 years, will begin a rollercoaster ride. One that brings the good, the bad, the ugly, and a wolf in sheep's clothing.

Life rarely warns us before it changes. Sometimes it is a quiet twist of fate, a wrong turn, or a stranger's gaze that redirects the course of everything we thought we knew. This story begins with two friends, ordinary in every sense-dreaming, laughing, and stumbling through the chaos of college days. They could not have known that a chance encounter would pull them into a storm they never asked for, testing their courage, their trust, and their hearts. The world they step into is not kind. Choices are stolen, trust is broken, and bonds are tested in ways neither could have imagined. Yet, beneath the weight of fear and uncertainty, a truth begins to emerge: even in the harshest shadows, light has a way of finding its path back. What followed was not choice, but force. A bond twisted, a promise stolen, and a life reshaped under the weight of control. Fear became constant, trust turned fragile, and innocence was fractured by hands that demanded obedience. This is not only a story of what was taken, but of what was found-friendship, strength, and a love that refuses to be silenced. And though the journey is jagged with pain, it does not end in despair. This is not a story of heroes and villains, but of people lost in the gray between. It is about what happens when freedom is stripped away-and how the heart fights to reclaim it. In the end, where despair once reigned, something stronger emerges. Not because the world is kind, but because even in its cruelty, love has a way of surviving. Because sometimes, even the most unexpected stories carry us to places of hope. This Story is also available on YouTube and Inkitt.

A story in which everything that could go wrong, does go wrong. "Got any sevens?" He softly asked, his gaze on me as he waited for my reply. Ignoring the temptation to meet his captivating green eyes, I puckered my lips as I focused my stare on the cards in my hand. "Go fish." There was a tense pause. I sensed his movements beside me as he bypassed the cards on the ground. I looked up to question him, but the words got caught in my throat. I gasped taking in the features of his face that was now inches away from mine. I had never noticed the few specks of gold in his green eyes before. My heart raced as his gaze flicked to my lips and back to my eyes. Then, without hesitation, his lips were on mine and my brain turned to mush. Wren Matthews, a struggling college freshman, had faced a lifetime of neglect and hardship from her family. Just as she thought she couldn't endure any more, life threw her another curveball. She tried to bounce back repeatedly, but starting over wasn't easy. Amidst the chaos, one constant emerged. Eli Parker, a dedicated sophomore whose passions for basketball and music defined him. For Eli, life revolved around the rush of the court and the tranquility of melodies which kept him centered. Yet he discovered there's much more to life when one physics class changes everything. Paired together for a semester-long science project, Wren and Eli's relationship as science partners grows from that to study buddies, to friends, then to something... deeper. Their bond weathers complications that tested their resolve. As their connection deepens, a dangerous game of unspoken questions unfolds, leaving one lingering question: Whose Fault? . . .
