The Charity Bin Swap

The Charity Bin Swap follows Alex Carter, a 32-year-old man who donates some clothes and a pair of mysterious boots to a charity bin. After wearing the boots, Alex begins transforming into a woman named Alexa. The boots and other clothing items contain the essence of their previous owner, Vivienne, who died of cancer and used magic to weave her consciousness into her clothes.
As Alex wears more of the clothes, the transformation accelerates - developing feminine features, acquiring Vivienne's memories and skills (like painting and martial arts), and feeling increasingly comfortable in this new female identity. A ghostly echo of Vivienne appears, explaining that Alex is becoming her vessel.
In a confrontation with Vivienne's echo, Alexa manages to remove and burn the boots, which were the anchor of the transformation. However, this doesn't completely reverse the changes - Alexa remains in a hybrid state between Alex and Vivienne, with some of Vivienne's physical traits and abilities.
In the aftermath, Alexa begins embracing her new feminine identity, venturing out in public, making a new friend named Mia, and even exploring nightlife. However, the story ends on an ambiguous note, with Vivienne's presence still lingering through the remaining clothes and mysterious text messages, suggesting the transformation may not be over.
The epilogue shows Alexa caught between her newfound female identity that she's growing to embrace and the haunting influence of Vivienne that threatens to consume her completely.
