In the small, tight-knit town of Catbalogan, Samar, high school seniors Andie Villamor and Gab De Castro navigate the complexities of growing up, while carrying the weight of family tensions and unresolved childhood bonds. Set in 2014, "Before the Last Word" follows the rekindling of their friendship, once fractured by misunderstandings and deep-rooted feuds between their fathers.

When a forgotten time capsule from their childhood resurfaces, old memories and feelings stir between Andie and Gab. Their connection, built on shared playlists, old letters, and intimate moments, is constantly tested by the pressures of family expectations, school dynamics, and personal insecurities. Andie's responsible and goal-oriented nature clashes with Gab's laid-back attitude and uncertainty about the future, but the deeper their bond grows, the harder it becomes to ignore the pull between them.

As graduation looms, Andie and Gab are forced to confront not only their feelings for each other but also the mounting conflicts within their families.
