Elias Carter, a travel journalist, arrives in the secluded town of Novacrest, a place with no recorded history, no past visitors, and no way to contact the outside world. On his first morning, he notices something strange-no one remembers the previous day. Families, friendships, and even rivalries reset at sunrise. The townspeople believe this is normal, accepting their daily amnesia as a fact of life. Elias soon discovers he is the only person who retains his memories. As he pieces together the mystery, he finds hidden messages carved into walls, journal pages tucked into his pockets, and a recurring symbol etched onto every clock in town. The more he learns, the more the city resists-buildings shift overnight, people vanish, and unseen forces try to erase his mind as well. With time running out, Elias must uncover the truth: Who created this city? Why does it forget? And what happens when someone finally remembers? I do not own any pictures in this story.

Thirteen-year-old Elias is haunted by nightmarish hallucinations after the death of his older brother. But when he looks through the eyeholes of an old cardboard box, the world shifts into something dreamlike, or liminal. Distorted, still illusory, but kinder. Safer. At his side is Hugo, his strange but loyal friend who urges him to face his fears rather than flee from them. The box keeps Elias grounded. So does Hugo. At least... that's what he believes. As reality starts to blur Elias must decide what's real and what's imagined, and what he's willing to hold onto. A Psychological/Body Horror Novella. This story is inspired by E-014 of the Nova Corporation, a community project similar to the SCP Foundation. The story was adapted and revised to be original from a proposed origin fantale I made based on E-014 (the cardboard box). Original E-014: http://nova-corporation.wikidot.com/el-014
