"She's just my rookie." and "He's just my Sergeant." Only if it were that simple there'd be no story to tell... Lucy Chen joined the LAPD to prove herself. What she didn't expect was to be paired with someone likeTim Bradford-her no-nonsense training officer whose bark is exactly as sharp as his bite. At first, their partnership is a clash of wills, but underneath the tension simmers something neither of them dares name. When Lucy's personal life implodes and Tim's fractured relationship pushes him past his limits, the two find themselves circling closer-caught between duty, desire, and the unspoken bond that grows with every shift. From patrol calls in Los Angeles to an undercover operation in Las Vegas, where they must pose as lovers in order to bring down a dangerous drug syndicate, Tim and Lucy's act becomes harder to separate from reality.
