Lacey Kratt is the youngest of the Kratt siblings. Her brothers, Martin and Chris, have become pillars of the animal conservation community, leaving a legacy with the name. Unfortunately, Lacey is only a high schooler and cannot join the Wild Kratts on all their thrilling adventures. Little does she know, though, she's about to embark on an adventure of her own.

After her older brothers discover a plot created by one of their sworn enemies to kidnap their younger sister, Martin and Chris bring Lacey onboard the Tortuga to keep her safe. Unfortunately, they're unable to keep her safe for long. When the whole gang gets kidnapped, it's up to Lacey to use her wits to get her loved ones back to safety. Along the way, she meets unlikely allies, discovers some hidden truths about herself, and works hard to dismantle the corrupt system she's thrown herself into. However, this journey does not come without its hardships.

Can Lacey do it all alone? Or does she need to learn to trust others, even if they're presented as untrustworthy companions? Can she manage to save everyone? Or does she need to decide what's most important to her?
