'Hiccup took her hand and yelped again as she pulled him out of the crowd and onto Berkian soil, just to the side of where the docks met the village. They continued on around the mingling Berkians and Berserkers, Rytin making a beeline for the forest.
"Come on, Hiccup!" she called back at him, grinning toothily. "It's a beautiful day!"
As Rytin whooped gleefully, dragging him along, the fog and clouds seemed to lighten like Frigg herself was smiling. Hiccup couldn't be sure what for, but he would soak in the sunlight while he could.
Berk rarely did anything but rain, after all.'
Or, Dagur and Hiccup become friends-brothers-the moment they meet.

Betrothed; The re-write
Welcome new and old readers to the official re-write of Betrothed! The Dagur/reader fan fiction that was previously written by a 16 year old who had no idea how to write apart from taking GCSE English! Now that I'm graduating University and re-watching the How to train your dragon series, I figure I've got enough motivation to re-write the original Betrothed as well as Forgiveness in the future! A few warnings I'd include are very unhealthy relationships from everyone's favourite Berserker Chief, as well as some slight non-consensual touching (nothing nsfw at all though) and a few non-consensual kisses. The Strongest of Them All
Mistreated and malnourished, little Hiccup doesn't understand why most everyone on Berk hates him. Gobber notices the abuse and steps in, but things quickly spiral out of control and the only way to keep Hiccup safe is to smuggle him off of Berk and into the hands of their allies. It's the story of a young Viking. Actually, he isn't that young anymore. He's 23 years old now. His name is Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III. 8 years ago, he had to run away from his beloved home Berk because he became best friends with a creature that no Viking should ever become friends with: a dragon.
