Passionate Heart

Murlinn Cohen was not well-known, though he should be. He was the heir to the CEO position and principal's seat of Talius Academy of the West and South, or TAWS for short. Specifically, the Delhi campus. This university franchise was well-known, with over 127 campuses across the globe, and not to mention FILTHY rich, placing #2 in the wealth ratings worldwide(yes, worldwide!).

It stood to reason, then, that a 20-year-old should NOT be taking over such a largely successful business, no matter HOW capable he be.

At least, not when he was in line after his uncle and six cousins on his dad's side.

However, his case would prove that being a non-believer in Christ with a Christ-centered grandfather who saw something in him and not his uncle was the story of DAVID all over again, only with a slight twist.

Kamia Carthridge-Mann was truly the human embodiment of a pure, pristinely white magnolia whose beauty was one that none rivaled. It was so artistically and awesomely apparent. Unblemished in all its glory. But she grew and grew to be so great in her enemies' sight that those thistles and thorns choked her.

Or at least, tried to. Her passionate heart was both a curse and a blessing. It was the driving force, an overcoming organ in her born-to-be-a-queen body. In those cases, a blessing.

But in the end, she adapted to simply become like them. She thought, "If you can't beat 'em or defeat 'em, you've got to join and BE them."

However, this was not the right approach.

Or was it? Murlinn Cohen thought it was. "The fire suited her; bring it back," he thought. "Bring it back! It will warm my weary, wanton soul."

The re-taming of her soul would be his only adjustment and at his hands ONLY.

She would be completely his.

She was MEANT to be completely his-always, tomorrow, yesterday, and now!
