At the limit of speed

Formula 1 is a strange sport.

It is adrenaline, speed and a small line between Winning and Catastrophic.

And it also was lonely.

Charles Leclerc does now that better than most of the drivers. He knows the Moments, where you're standing on the podium, everyone cheering for you and feeling like you're standing on top of the world.

But he also knows the dark side after a race, the silence and feeling of emptiness.

He lost too much to see formula one as only a sport.
His Godfather Jules. His father. A good friends Anthoine.
Sometimes he asks himself if he also hadn't lost himself troughout his life.

But he learned to smile trough it, even when he felt like everything inside him was breaking. He felt like nobody did care anyway.

So he acts like everything is fine.

And then there was Max.

Max Verstappen, who was his rival on track and something between rival and friendship of track.

Somebody he doesn't understand.

Somebody he couldn't let go off.

But there is so much more.

Something Charles couldn't name and Max don't want to acknowledge.
