Patrick has gone from needing to hide from his problems to learning how to walk away in an act of self-preservation so now the only lesson to be learned is how to fight for and defend what he loves, even if it means fighting the man he loves.
This is how Patrick and Kevin find their way back to each other. Post "Looking for Home."

I lasted all of one week before I caved in and started writing the voices in my head again. ### SPOILERS AHEAD FOR THE MOVIE ### This takes place over a year after the HBO Looking movie ended. Patrick left for Texas with Richie. Kevin left for London with Jon. But they are my OTP so how could I let them stay so far apart? This will not make any sense if you do not know the show. Eddy and Edd have been dating off and on until Eddy finally snaps Edd's trust for the last time. Seeking comfort he heads towards his remaining friend, Ed. On his way there bumps into a real odd ball character, a drama-king if you would. Leading to a very unusual meet with said king's "stalker' of sorts. The meeting may have been a coincidence but it made him feel better. He parts ways with the unlikely duo and heads home, literally crashing into Kevin. Once he makes his way home he sits and thinks over the day. Kevin however couldn't help but notice the boy didn't quite look as cheerful as usual. Even though Kevin and Edd had never been close he didn't quite like that he seemed to shine a little less brighter then before.
