For as long as she could remember, Ochaco had dreamt of the day that she got her soul mark. She waited day and night for that soul mark, and yet, every single time she would stop to glance down, her heart plummeted to her stomach when it
didn't appear. By the time she was 15, she had lost all hope. Not only was she quirkless, but now, she was without a soulmate. Now, she was 20, working long shifts at a cafe, barely able to scrape by and take care of her sick mother. Her father had left her and her mom when she was 5, a year after they had found out about Ochaco's condition. her inability to possess a quirk was what drove a knife through their family. Lots of nights were spent crying, but she had slowly gone numb from the years of pain. She still had her mother, who was her whole world. Yet, the world carried on, and slowly, ochaco began to see past her happy fantasies and face reality. She would be alone for the rest of her life.
