Welcome to my first attempt at a serious fanfic. I had tried many times and on different accounts but this time I am attempting to take the road seriously, so I would appreciate it if you showed your love and appreciation, as well as any criticism, advice and lore horrors I might commit. I am not a lore master so I will ask for some leeway and point out any mistakes I might commit.

When Destiny Burns, Ep. 1: A Halo and Inheritance Cycle Crossover
After an UNSC fleet fell prey to an ancient Forerunner scheme, a lone Spartan is left stranded in a world that he doesn't understand. He gets himself inadvertently bonded to a dragon, marking him as a pawn in a new conflict. He must fight for his life and overcome his own nature to gain allies in a world where nothing makes sense. But war always catches on, burning all it touches. Episode 1: Inserted into Alagaesia, Running from the Empire, The Varden, Battle of Farthen Dur, The Shade's master, A New Leader for the Varden, Travelling to Du Weldenvarden. I believe that seeing more than 60 parts in a story makes the readers (or at least me as a reader) feel uncomfortable so I'm dividing in different Episodes: At the Beors, At Du Weldenvarden, The Beggining of the Invasion, New Allies, etc. I'm trying to keep the word count per chapter at 2000 but I can't always divide the chapters smoothly so there may be some parts with 3000 to 7000 words. I suggest to read each chapter entirely to get a better grasp of the plot. Also, there are some scenes of bloodshed and fight, YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. There may be some scenes not for children but not until, at least, chapter 35, Episode 3 or 4. Updates once or twice a week. Also gramatical correction of the already posted chapters. Tell me how long would you like each chapter, in a comment please. Also, Read, Vote, Comment and Share with other people (RVCS). Halo Battle Buddies: The Ghosts of War
Prequel 1 / 2 (Current Version: Prototype - Version 1.5) (Status: Complete) This story/fanfiction is a 'what if scenario' within the Sci-Fi videogame series known as Halo and is based on the legendary and hyper-lethal Noble 6/Spartan B-312 and his outcome after the end of Halo Reach, essentially surviving after the fall of the planet and his comrades that is Noble Team. (Canonically he is considered dead or MIA) The story is a 'reimagining' of Halo and is non-canon and is to be not taken seriously as this was an idea created back when I first played the games. The Ghosts of War is a prequel and pilot of my main series known as 'Halo Battle Buddies' and will lead up to the first book on where Halo Combat Evolved takes place. Originally a backstory for a D&D Character that got just a little bit out of hand with length and detail, its now morphed itself into a full blown Novella. Its the most effort I have ever put into any creative project in my life. I hope you enjoy it! This is the story of a twenty year old human man, Mardston, as he takes his first steps along the path to becoming a true warrior. Trained as a blacksmith as a child by his adopted dwarven family, and then as a Mercenary Soldier as a young man. Happy where he was in life as a traveling sellsword, he had it all torn away when his first experience with a deadly battle, was a massacre that saw all 500 of his companions cut down in a manner of minutes. Walking away from the engagement by being judged by his enemies as the most mentally weak, and therefore chosen as the designated survivor to go tell the tale of what happens to those who intrude in their woods. Completely alone, with no purpose, no living friends, and no desire to work as the one thing he was trained to do. Mardston starts his journey to becoming a warrior at the bottom of a bottle. Where he is singled out for the most mundane of reasons by a strange young elven woman with unnatural abilities, who chooses him to accompany her on her journey. A journey where she begins the path to learning what it means to be a Hero to those who need saving, and where he stands fast and fights to protect her and keep her safe from all who wish her harm. While the two of them together venture forth to find their new places in a world that has no need of them as they were. - While editing, I noticed that I didn't describe Mardstons physical description well. Jamming it in now, results in awkward and clunky exposition. So I will just write it here even more awkwardly. Mardston stands at 6'2" tall, weighing in at 350 lbs. Built like a bodybuilder from a childhood of keeping up with dwarves, he stands with more than twice the mass and strength of your average human warrior.Complete
