Donnie never believed in spirits. So when his brother and him travel to an abandoned house at nighttime, his main goal is to boost his ego by proving that ghosts do not exists whatsoever. Except, by trying to prove that, he only encountered something that could change his mind and course of studies completely. When he does in fact meet a ghost there named Y/n he realizes that he's been wrong this whole time.

Y/n on the other hand is just a free spirit who wanders around with nothing to do. She doesn't really have family to watch over, or friends, in fact she doesn't remember anything of her old life or how she died. It's been a mystery to her for years now and for some reason no pieces are being put together. When she meets Donnie who finds away to see her which no one else can do, she gains the slightest bit of hope that he could be the one to help her find her way to the other side.
