My name is Amity! (Yes, Amity. Among the four of us, kids, of Liz and Warner, I'm the one they picked to name after a faction of the one and only Divergent Series). My full name is Amity Rosaline Banks! I have an older brother, Tommy and two other sisters. The older sister (by a month and a few days) is Skylar and the youngest is Lacey. I'm an average fifteen year old girl, with the love for horror movies and rap music (especially Eminem! His lyrics speak to me!) I don't really like socializing (becuase of my fear of thinking whether people would like me for who I am nor not) and moving! Anything but moving!
 
I don't like moving because it's hard to fit in if you were in my shoes. Everyone thinks I'm emo just because I like horror art and Halloween and not socializing (when that has nothing to do with being freaking emo). If it's not hard fitting in with the neighbourhood, then it's hard fitting in at school. Ninth grade girls aren't exactly easy to deal with! They're bossy, mean and search for every inch of oppurtunity to embarrass you on social media...well...some of them. Others are sweet like my best friends, Camila, Ariana and Grace. But, sadly, I have to leave them behind because we are moving.
 
My mom says that this new home will make us feel welcomed. I don't exactly feel welcomed. I hear voices either in the nights or out of the blues! It all starts with a sharp buzz, then you hear voices begging for mercy or crying out to their mommies. Yes...mommies because these voices often sound like little kids that are trapped and there's no way to escape! I would also see shadows or figures that follow me in this house. I feel like I get the cold shoulder whenever I enter this house! I think these entities want something and I think they're out to get me!

I never thought my life would be like this; trapped in a dark room and scared for my life. A blindfold was wrapped around my head, covering my eyes, making me completely blind and on high alert. My breathing was ragged and I could smell the mold that was most likely covering most of the room. My hands were tied behind my back, my feet tied together and I was sitting on the floor, propped up against a wall. I heard a slight shuffling across the room that was coming closer to me. I tried my hardest to keep my breathing under control to seem confident and fearless, but in reality, I was shitting my pants and squealing like a scared little girl on the inside. To say I was terrified was a drastic understatement. I was petrified, shaking with fear, but they were not going to know that. "Who are you?!" I demanded. If I was going to die, it would be with the name of my kidnapper. A voice boomed closely to me, "Well, if I told you that, this wouldn't be any fun." **************** Skylar James, a 24 year old girl, is kidnapped by a very well known gang who has a vendetta against her family. In an attempt to find light in her situation, she makes friends with one of the members. Logan Grant was forced into the gang at the young age of 16. He was abused until he became emotionless and ruthless, so that one day, he could rule the gang. Everything was going smoothly until Skylar is brought in. With a blindfold wrapped around her head, he instantly feels bad for her, though he cannot show it. Afraid of getting caught, he shows no emotion while others are around. Though, behind closed doors is a whole other story.

New town. New identity. Same crazy. I love it!!! (insert enthusiastic voice ) (cough, cough) Not!! I hate it. I hate having to to hide who I am. But to protect the civilians and my new home from being destroyed like my last ones, I have obey the leader's rule. No matter if I do disapprove. But all of that changes when I meet, more like bump into someone who's special. ... DOOR OPENS. "Naomi Satchel!" my mother yells as she comes blaring through the doors. "Yes?" I say as I still lie under the covers. My mother pulls my cover from my body and tosses it on the floor. I quickly sit up in my bed and glare at her. "Get your ass up now you have half an hour left before your first-period starts and you better not be late," she demands. "Mom, this isn't my school. This isn't my home. I don't want to go." I whine and beg my mother at the same time to let me stay home. What was I thinking? My mom has an image to uphold being this perfect mother who loves and cares about her little baby girl. We both know the truth. Until a few years ago, I never even knew she existed. She and my father both agreed to send me here because they couldn't stand the fact that I fell in love with a black boy. Although neither of them would ever admit, that's the only reason why I know of her. I don't want to attend a school where I'm going to have to forsake who I truly am just to fit into their liking. How can I explain that to my mom when she sees everything to be black and white.
