One step at a time

Hugo , a terminally ill teenage boy goes on a walk in the night and passes a bridge where he notices ava , a girl around his age standing on the ledge of the bridge just watching the crashing waves below the bridge . He decides to talk to her , to convince her that her life was worth living despite the pain and struggles of life .

The two of them become good friends , always hanging out and talking about the hardships they faced . Little by little , ava managed to finally see the brighter side of life with the help of hugo .

That is , until hugos health takes a turn for the worst , with his health deteriorating quickly. However , hugo was not afraid of the end he knew was in store, instead he welcomed it with opening arms happy that he had helped a friend face a struggle that she had been facing by herself .
