Mature
The world ended, but survival didn't get any easier.

She never wanted to get attached-attachments got people killed. After barely escaping her past and carving out a life on her own, she finds herself at a small survivor camp on the outskirts of Atlanta. It's supposed to be safe. Temporary. Just another stop along the way.

But safety is a lie, and nothing lasts forever.

As tensions rise and the dead lurk closer, she forms an unlikely bond with Carol and Sophia, seeing too much of her own past reflected in them. She doesn't do family, doesn't do connections-but something about them makes her second-guess that.

Then Glenn's voice crackles over the radio. We've run into some trouble... we'll be longer than I thought.

And just like that, peace is shattered.

With new threats looming and an unknown man about to stumble into their world, she realises one thing: no matter how far she runs, trouble always finds her. And this time, there might be no way out.

A/N: This is the updated version of FYD <3 Y/n L/n was your average college student before the world went to shit. She lived in Atlanta with her childhood friend, Glenn, and had never once left the city after she had moved there, apart from the occasional visit to see her Mother, whom was hospitalised in another state. However, the end of the world changed that, forcing her to leave the city and wander the highway. Permanently. When the city was overrun, she was separated from Glenn and forced to flee the city, which she hadn't left for years. With no idea where to go or what to do, she simply wandered down the highway. And though she may have been a city kid, she was far from useless. She was used to fighting for her life and she was used to being alone, so to say the very least, she could handle whatever the end of the world threw at her. Equipped with her trusted bow, Lucy, and her fathers vintage revolver, she was ready for anything. Dead or otherwise. A few months after the 'End', Y/n eventually came across a lost little girl, and a group of survivors hurled up on a farm. She never was a people person and never got along too well with others, but she couldn't just abandon the girl. Would she find a home in this group? Would they become family? Or was she doomed to wander alone? Would she ever reunite with Glenn? Her family? And would she and a certain redneck ever get along? UPDATES: DAILY. This is a fem!reader fic, but you can ignore gender if you like<3 Hopefully, you'll enjoy the story! If there's any mistakes let me know. And just enjoy!<33 NOTE: Obviously all characters belong to the walking dead, apart from any oc's or storylines I may add!

Sweet and Salty

113 parts Complete Mature

~•°• They're like sweet and salty, good apart, better together •°•~ Brooks Dixon. Younger and half sister of Daryl and Merle Dixon. They never forget the half. Brooks, Daryl, Merle and their father Will have to somehow make it out of Atlanta when the dead get too much for them to handle from their isolated cottage in the woods. It's their first night after escaping their house and who should they run across other than Glenn Rhee? While Brooks usually finds it difficult to connect with others due to her family's reputation, her relationship with Carl Grimes is an exception. Instead of pure hatred, there might be more complex feelings between them than they believe. Trigger warnings ~ everything under the sun x
