Why do I have to suffer for the choices my parents made?
Why am I the one carrying the weight of their decisions?

And that's when I saw him.

"You'll get used to it," Moros said in that deep voice of his.
"Or you'll start sleeping on the roof."
He wasn't even joking.
"You think they'd let me do that?" I asked.
"No. But when has that ever stopped you?"

I was going to make him regret every. single. word.

"You're going to enjoy this too much," Moros muttered in my head, amused. "Almost makes me pity him. Almost."

We'd kissed before, but nothing had ever felt like this.
This was fire.
This was lightning.
This was passion that consumed, burning everything else away until there was nothing left but him and me. His lips, his hands, the strength of his body pressed against mine, holding me like I was the
only thing keeping him alive.
