The letter arrived thirty years too late.

Max Rivers never wanted to return to Somerville-not after what happened at Fun Land. But the yellowed envelope, scrawled with his name in a shaky hand, dragged him back. Inside, a single message: "Welcome home, Max. The park has been waiting for you."

Now, standing before the rusted gates of his father's abandoned amusement park, Max feels the weight of its silence. The carousel's skeletal horses watch him with hollow eyes. The air hums with the ghost of carnival music, though no one has set foot here in decades. And in the shadows, something moves-a twisted figure with a rabbit's grin, its gaze burning with recognition.

Fun Land is more than ruins. It's alive. And after all these years... it's hungry.

The question still remains; how did they all turn into who they are today? We all know the agents in Kid, but what do we really know about their backstory? What made them the grand agents of the Travellers? Where had they come from in the first place? This is a backstory of Kid for all of the agents within the story. It does not matter whether or not you read Tales of the Travellers or Kid first, (but it's mildly suggested you read Kid first as some littler things will make more sense if you do).

A boy no older than me is just standing there, he is wearing a gray shirt with a hole in the shoulder and it has a handful of stains and dirt spots on it. I immediately know he is not from Treegrass. Not only have I never seen him before in my life but everyone in our town always wears nice clean and washed clothes, therefore nobody should be looking like him. The boy has a small cut on his cheek and is thin, a lot thinner than he should be. I look away from him and around at my surroundings, there is no one else here. I regain my composure and look at him again. That's when he says something that makes my blood run cold. "Run."

IT lets go of me, my head hits the ground again, no sound echos this time. IT's mouth movies, but my ears ring, so I can't hear IT. Everything is blurry and movies too much. I can't focus on anything. IT looks at me, IT's eyes are all gray. IT smirks and stands all of the way up, towering over me. I pull myself up and wobble away from IT on unsteady feet. I look back to see IT laughing, watching me walk away. I can't hear her terrible laughter, and I don't want... to... I fall over, feeling woozy. My head spins and I sway as I try to stand. I look back again, to see that the fog has covered my path, and I can only see a couple of inches away from my face.
