Bella came to West Virginia to escape.
Brandon came to escape himself.

She is fire wrapped in thorns-sharp, untouchable, running from a past that refuses to die.

He is leather and silence-scarred, grounded, a boy who learned long ago to feel nothing at all.

When their worlds collide, numbness is no longer an option.

She makes him feel.
He makes her breathe.

The more they fight it, the more it consumes them-what's worse is they're left to accept that some things are terrifyingly inevitable.

Because love isn't their biggest risk... obsession is.

To survive, Bella and Brandon must choose: let someone else in... or die trying.

When a raven meets a dove, surrender might be the only way to survive.

This is a haunting, slow-burn dark romance with a psychological thriller edge-Two broken souls bound by pain, drawn by fire, forced to decide if love is worth being seen.

Steamy. Sweet. Thrilling. Action-packed with plot twists and a love that doesn't just pull you in-but keeps you locked in.

And just enough dark humor to keep you scrolling until 3 a.m.

A fresh take on cliche dark romance. My goal is to pioneer genres-to take what the world already has and merge it to create a whole new genre.

PAUL I cheated on my fiancé. Sophie and I were building our future. In love, happy, peaceful. Then she found a lump in her breast and I made the worst choice: I numbed my fear by sleeping with someone else. My worst mistake and my biggest regret. Now I see Sophie around town with him. She's radiant and laughing with people who actually show up. I'm trying to learn how to be a man who does. If she lets me, I'll spend the rest of my life proving I can choose her when it's hardest. If she lets me... SOPHIE I thought the promise was in sickness and in health. But he buried his fear in someone else. On the same night, I walked into a bookstore and meet the gentle giant owner who invites me to his book club full of misfits. I'm laughing again, I smile more than I ever have, I heal my heart. My ex says he can learn to stay, but my bookstore owner keeps showing up like it's as easy as breathing. I don't know what the future holds; I don't know if I'll win this battle against cancer, but I do know I'm done wasting time on people that love only when it's easy. CALLUM She came in to Rivers & Rhodes Bookstore and asked for books with happy endings only. I gave her a recommendation, an invitation, and an offer of friendship. Now, this beautiful brave woman is completely under my skin. I'm not here to win a competition against him. I'm here because choosing someone, second by second, is the only way I understand love. He was waiting outside the OP, there for his student who had been injured during a fight over a phone. As he sat, casually glancing at his own phone, he suddenly heard the faint sound of a baby crying. Curious, he turned toward the sound-and froze. There, outside the pediatric care unit, sat his wife with their son crying in her arms. His heart ached-it had been months since he last saw his son. His gaze shifted to his wife, gently consoling the child. Her face looked tired, pale, and completely drained. Without a second thought, he stood, tears welling in his eyes. Each step he took felt heavy, his chest tightening with every cry from his son. As he neared, he saw her clothes were faded and worn. Her feet were bare, hardened from walking-clearly straight from the farm. His heart clenched. His eyes moved to his son-he had grown so much. She was so focused on calming the baby that she didn't notice him at first. Tears filled her eyes as she held their feverish child close. He softly called her name. Startled, she looked up-and froze. Then she quickly lowered her gaze and tried to get up. He gently placed a hand on her shoulder, stopping her. She sat back down, turning her face away, quietly wiping her tears. He reached out to take their son. The moment he held him, he felt the heat-his little body was burning with fever. A chill ran through him. After all these months, seeing his child like this was unbearable. He loved his wife and son deeply, but his loyalty to his mother-and obedience to her word-always came first. Between a mother who owned his soul and a wife who held his heart, he was a man torn in a cruel war of love and loyalty. And she-she had given her all to a promise whispered beneath the sacred fire... never knowing that one day, she'd be holding her child, with nothing but a faded vow.

Continuing my series of commenting on quotes from John Green books, I collected my favourite quotes of his newest y/a novel about two teenagers, Aza and Davies, falling in love in the midst of mental illness, murder mystery and friendship problems. I sincerely hope you enjoy his quotes as much as I do and maybe also my thoughts on them. All rights of the quotes to John Green. I own nothing but my thoughts.
