Twenty years ago, Elliott "Eli" O'Conner vanished without a trace. He disappeared alongside Alex Vreeke. No one knows what happened to them-until now. Eli has spent two decades fighting for survival in the world he barely even knew, discovering abilities he never knew he had. Every day is a test, every choice life or death, and the question of whether he'll ever escape seems more impossible than ever.

Back in the real world, Eli's disappearance has haunted many people, one of which is Jordan West. The mystery tore his family apart, and Jordan refuses to let it go. Now, 21 years later, he and his schoolmates-Spencer, Fridge, Bethany, and Martha-get sucked into the same game, facing the same life-threatening dangers Eli faced all those years ago. Determined to find Eli's whereabouts, Jordan uses every bit of his survival instinct to journey through the jungle, alongside his schoolmates, in a quest to not only save Jumanji but to find Eli himself.

But Jordan isn't the only one fighting for survival. Eli's journey to stay alive has taken its toll, and his bond with Alex is all he has left. As Jordan and Eli fight their separate battles, the clock is ticking. The creatures and enemies in Jumanji won't let them finish the quest and they aren't letting them go without a fight.
