From the moment I drew my first breath, my life felt less like my own and more like a carefully orchestrated performance directed by my parents. In the grand scheme of things, this wasn't my life; it was theirs. A life lived according to their script, their expectations, their ambitions. I had no right to complain, no right to disobey. I was, after all, merely their child, a product of their creation, obligated to follow their meticulously laid plans. Life, it seemed, was inherently unfair. A cruel joke played out on a stage where I had no choice but to play the role assigned to me, a role that had nothing to do with the person I yearned to be. I was born with a sketchbook in my hand, a designer at heart, my mind overflowing with vibrant colors and bold patterns. But the vibrant hues of my dreams were brutally muted, replaced by the stark black and white of legal textbooks. My parents, both successful lawyers, had a clear vision for my future - one that mirrored their own, a path paved with courtrooms and legal briefs, not fashion shows and design studios. The dream that burned bright within me, the dream I'd held since childhood, was ruthlessly snatched away, replaced by a future I never envisioned, a future I never wanted. A future that felt like a life sentence.
