Another version of you

Zeus and Feilyn
They were just block mates-nothing more, nothing less. Or at least, that's how it began. Feilyn never really noticed Zeus beyond the occasional nod in the hallway or shared project in class. She had her own world, one that orbited quietly around Cyril-her first love, her secret ache, the boy her heart had chosen long ago.

Zeus? He was never interested in Feilyn. Not at first. But time has a way of softening edges and building bridges where walls once stood. The more they talked, the more he saw-layers of her that no one else seemed to notice. And slowly, painfully, he began to fall.

But she didn't. Not for him. Not ever.

It was only later, when truths came unraveling from the lips of her mother, that Feilyn understood how deep stories could run. Her mother's heart had once belonged to someone else-Zeus' uncle. A love that never had a chance to bloom because of a marriage arranged for duty, not passion. A love that never really died.

And maybe, just maybe, history was repeating itself in ways neither of them could control.

Or maybe it's the other version of themselves?
