Charlie was always considered outgoing and bubbly. He's always with his best friend Finn, partying and doing all the things imaginable as if there were no tomorrow. However, that was two summers ago before his brother's best friend left for college with his girlfriend.
Every summer, they go back to the same beach in the same beach house with the same friends. However, the last two summers didn't have all their friends. They had all but one. This summer Charlie's brother decided to make a special trip for his girlfriend and his one and only best friend which they haven't seen for two years.

"I missed this." I admitted like it was a guilty crime as I looked down at the sand I was playing with.
"Yeah, me too kid." Calix would respond in a whisper. Gosh there's that stupid nickname again, makes me so irritated.
"Stop calling me that." I said sternly but not too stern since my words were still slurring.
"Why? Don't like it?" Calix asked playfully as he bumped my shoulder with his.
