This isn't a love story, not completely anyway. This is a story of Florence Hibbert, who after returning home for the funeral of her ex-boyfriend's father realises that there's more of her past that she needs to dig in to in order for her to be able to create a future. Still sore over the death of her own mother, a denial-filled Florence thinks that she needs to take her journey of loss alone to discover love again, but there are people standing in her way and she's got to decide if these are people worth involving in her journey or if they're the people holding her back. This is a story of love, lust and loss.

Ariselle was twenty, already carrying the weight of adulthood on her shoulders when Alex walked into her life. Gentle, curious, and unexpectedly kind, he didn't try to fix her-he simply saw her. After years of fear, control, and silence at home, she finally felt free to be herself, even if just for a moment. Together, they shared quiet evenings, stolen laughter, and the fragile magic of first love. But love is never guaranteed. Slowly, almost imperceptibly, Alex began to pull away. The warmth that once held her steady slipped through her fingers, leaving her to face a heartbreaking truth: the person she trusted most could no longer love her the way she needed. This is a story of first love and loss, of breaking away from fear and control, and of the quiet strength it takes to finally say enough-and reclaim her life on her own terms.
