Davies is used to being treated like royalty by everyone he knows. He even had people like his boarding school headmaster and the drill sargent at basic training wrapped around his finger all because his daddy had money.
But then someone came into his life. Someone... Unusual. 
Thomas Owens-Cook  is of equal wealth, but much more humble. He's even made friends with the common stock in their tank crew- something that caught Davies's attention. It doesn't stop there though. He treats Davies like another face in the crowd, not bothering to open doors for him unless asked to or even merely glance his way sonetimes.
