 Why did they keep him locked away like some dark secret? Something about him intrigued me, pulled at me, even though I had never seen his face.

The other maids thought I was crazy for being interested. They warned me to stay away from the basement. But I couldn't stop thinking about him.

Then one night, I saw him. And right at that moment, everything changed. I fell in love.

Everyone called him a maniac. They said he was violent and unpredictable. They said he was insane and couldn't be trusted. But when I looked at him, I didn't see any of that.

To me, he was the most beautiful man I had ever seen. He was gentle when he spoke to me. He was caring in the way he looked at me. He had the heart of an angel trapped in a prison he didn't deserve.

Everyone thought he was crazy. But I didn't care what anyone thought.
