Caoimhe Kavanagh, has never minded the chaos, she embraced it. With a sketchbook in her bag, Taylor Swift in her ears, and Aiden Gibson at her side, they'd been best friends for as long as she could remember. From skipping class to swapping playlists and hiding on rooftops, Aiden has always been the one person who makes the chaos feel less loud.

But lately, things feel... different. And when Aiden's ex-girlfriend-the girl he'd dramatically once sworn he'd never stop loving-returns, everything starts to shift.

One dramatic plea and a fake relationship later, Caoimhe finds herself playing pretend with the boy she's spent her whole life trying not to fall for. She's always known how to keep things light. But this? This feels like heartbreak in slow motion. And everyone knows it-apart from her.

Aiden Gibson has never taken much seriously-not school, not rugby, and definitely not his reputation. But Caoimhe has always been different. She's his calm in the storm, his partner in crime, the girl who he hums Paper Rings under her breath for and somehow makes everything feel a little less impossible. He told himself it was all just for show. That he could fake a relationship with her and walk away untouched. But the longer they pretend, the harder it gets to ignore the truth he's been avoiding for years.

Because sometimes the real thing sneaks up on you-disguised as a joke, wrapped in friendship and unavoidable.

𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐁𝐇À𝐍 𝐖𝐈𝐋𝐊𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐎𝐍 is used to blending in. She's the girl with ink on her fingers and headphones always around her neck, the quiet type who prefers comic books and coding to crowded parties. With divorced parents and a split life between two houses, she's learned to stay steady on her own. At Tommen, she's known more for her brains than her presence, until she's assigned to tutor 𝐑𝐎𝐑𝐘 𝐊𝐀𝐕𝐀𝐍𝐆𝐀𝐇. Rory is everything Siobhán isn't. The golden boy. The all-smiles Kavanagh. Charming, popular, and seemingly untouchable, he carries the weight of expectation with a grin that fools everyone. Everyone except her. Beneath the grin, she sees the cracks, an anxious boy trying to hold it all together, desperate not to let anyone down. What starts as awkward tutoring sessions turns into something deeper: stolen laughs, late-night conversations, and an unexpected tether between two people who never thought they'd collide. But when rumours swirl and Rory's carefully built mask begins to crumble, Siobhán has to decide if she can step out of the shadows to stand beside him, or risk losing the boy who finally made her feel seen. ‿̩͙⊱༒︎༻♱༺༒︎⊰‿̩͙ This is a fanfiction based on the Boys of Tommen series by Chloe Walsh. For Joey Lynch, the world was never anything but a rotten, cruel battlefield. Born on a holiday meant for light, he was instead forged in the darkness of an abusive legacy, forced to become a protector before he was even a boy. He is a creature of trauma and raw survival, forever battling the seductive, drowning pull of addiction that promises a final escape. But there has always been a light in the dark for him. Just a singular, defiant spark: Estella, his sister's best friend. She is a magnificent anomaly, a walking, breathing sunbeam in his grime-coated life. Her hair is a shock of bright, liquid silver, catching the light like spilled moonlight, framing a face that is dizzyingly, charmingly cute. Her eyes, wide and unnerving, are the colour of molten silver. When she stares up at Joey, meeting his trauma-hardened gaze with her impossible luminosity and a cheeky, uncompromising grin, he knows: she is trouble. The necessary kind. He has lost everything: his peace, his innocence, his stability. But she is the one thing that can never slip away. Not when he snarls and retreats like a cornered animal; she simply stares, her bright eyes unsettlingly steady, and deploys that silly, confident grin. God, he is putty in her hands. The temptation between them is a physical, humming wire, stretched taut for years. But when they finally give in-when the shadow reaches for the light, and the light does not pull away-things dare to take a turn for the worse. As Joey fights his darkest demons, trying to fend off his violent father and the relentless grip of addiction, he discovers that the girl who glows has been quietly burning, too. They need to decide if this fierce, hard-won love can genuinely tame all the anger and war within them... ... and if a single, silver light is truly the answer to all the world's rot.

Brendan Clearly. He was the lad I liked since I was barely out of pigtails, the one who never slagged me off when the rest of the boys thought it was gas. He was different. Always smiling, always asking me if I'd eaten, like some little mammy trapped in a seventeen-year-old fella's body. It sounds stupid, but those tiny things kept me going. And then I went and wrecked it. Not just with him-no, I managed to shatter it with all of them. My friends, the ones who made the halls feel less lonely, the ones who kept me tethered here when the world felt too heavy. Gone. Because of me. Just a mistake, that's all it was, but a mistake that cost me everything. And now when I see him across the yard, laughing with the others, it's like a knife. He doesn't even look my way. And I deserve that, don't I? *** Caoimhe Kavanagh. Once upon a time she was my best mate. The kind of girl you'd sit on a wall with for hours, talking about nothing and everything. She was soft, kind, never the type to go looking for trouble. But now? I hardly recognise her. She's gone cold, sharp, always hanging 'round with that crowd-the type of people you know are only bad news. Ciggies tucked in their sleeves, mouths full of poison. And she's right there in the middle of it, like she belongs to them now. Part of me wants to write her off, tell myself she's not the Caoimhe I knew. That girl's dead and gone. But... I can't. I remember too much. The way she used to laugh, the way she'd defend you even when you were being a gobshite, the way she cared more than she ever let on. That's still inside her, I swear it is. I don't care how hard she tries to hide behind the mask she's wearing now-I know my friend is in there somewhere. And I'll drag her back if I have to. Because she's worth it.

Life is normal. You're going to the same school with your triplets, just a couple of "minor" family issues in the background, but other than that, it's normal. You develop small feelings for a new kid, which you know he doesn't feel back because he's in love with another girl... right? Besides, your last relationship didn't go too well... Then there's the school field trip. Just a small problem. You find yourself somewhere totally different every night at 12 am. The sky turns red, and the phantoms come out to play.
