A Feather Above the Crowd

Aiko is a ruthless assassin for the League of Villains, known for her lethal skills, sharp tongue, and complete lack of hesitation when it comes to taking out a target. She's never been the type to let emotions get in the way of her work-until her path crosses with Hawks.
What starts as a simple run-in quickly turns into a dangerous game of flirtation and deception. Aiko convinces herself that her interest in Hawks is purely strategic-if the League can recruit the #3 hero, they'll gain a powerful asset. But as their encounters grow more frequent, she finds herself drawn to his easy going nature, his sharp wit, and-most frustratingly-the way he seems to see right through her.
She's supposed to be manipulating him. Instead, she catches herself smiling at his jokes, seeking out his presence, and feeling a warmth in her chest she doesn't recognize. Affection is a weakness, and Aiko knows better than to let her guard down. But with Hawks slowly chipping away at the walls she's built, she begins to wonder: is she playing him, or is he playing her?
