Iraq, 2006. In the midst of war, Zuleyha, a young Kurdish girl, tries to survive in a country on fire. For her, the American soldiers are nothing more than invaders, responsible for the destruction of her people. But everything changes when she finds a wounded soldier near her village: Sam, a Navy SEAL hit in an ambush.

She should have let him die. Yet, against all logic, she hides him and nurses his wounds in secret. Every day, the tension between them grows: between mistrust, hatred, and a strange attraction she refuses to admit. But as she begins to see the man behind the uniform, their secret is revealed.

The American soldiers find Sam... and capture Zuleyha. Torn from her world, she finds herself imprisoned in a military base, surrounded by enemies who suspect her of being a threat. She has no one left... except Sam. But in this camp, the man she saved is no longer a wounded man dependent on her. He's back among his own people, and he must make a choice: protect her or let her be treated like an enemy.
