It was beautiful, being a wolf. The sights, the smells, the sounds. Everything was simpler. There were no problems.
But the moon comes only once a month, and for the rest of the time, Maya is decidedly human. A human with problems. A hunted human, wanted by The Scientists.
Being a girl is hard, but being a werewolf is harder.
Through both wolf and human experiences, Maya learns the lessons of impulses, love, and what it's like to make the ultimate sacrifice -- her life -- in the name of freedom.
