I push myself up from the chair, ready to walk out of this ridiculous situation.

But then-

I feel a tug on my arm, hard and forceful.

Before I can even process it, I'm slammed back into the chair, the air knocked out of me for a second. I look up, my heart pounding, and see Kayden standing there, his grip still tight on my arm, his eyes boring into mine like a predator locking onto its prey.

But that just seems to be you. So whether you like it or not, we're doing this. And if you don't like it? Too bad."
