Star-Crossed ~ A Regency Love Story

Princess Amelia of the United Kingdom had been born from tragedy. The fifteenth child of her mother and father, George III, she came into the world after her two closest older brothers, Octavius and Alfred, died in infancy. But Amelia was the favourite child of her father - the infamous king who lost America and went mad. According to history, Amelia was the reason her father became insane.
But what history does not tell is the story of Amelia's secret love affair with the famous Romantic composer, Felix Mendelssohn - an affair so forbidden and buried that historians believed Amelia was infatuated with another man.

Felix Mendelssohn grew up in the upper class of German society. He was a prodigy from an early age, tutored by famous teachers and in the company of the best composers of his time. He wrote some of his most famous works before the age of 18. Mendelssohn traveled to England approximately 10 times, several of those times to meet with aspiring musicians. Though it is undocumented, he made several visits to play for the royal family. Felix was alone most of the time and longed for human companionship and love.
