He hurries home to find a boy who wants a piece of his treasure in exchange for 20 deer. The boy needs it to please his family. After the boy leaves the dragon eats the meet and falls asleep, when he wakes up he realised that the boy must have returned after the dragon gave him a piece of treasure and had taken everything.
