The Guardians

With the two worlds co-existing, someone or something has to keep a tight rein on both worlds. There's the realm where creatures roam and indulge in killing and the other world where humans live their ordinary lives.

If one gains access to the other, world would be an ugly place and humanity will end.

Therefore, each generation has two Guardians to keep a tight rein on two worlds from discovering the other. However, one Guardian let wrong and selfish desire built up in her heart and the unguarded doors to the dark realm were opened by mortal hands. The consequence became a burden for the ongoing generations and no guardians could find the doors and close them. Thus, year after year, an ajar door widened as more and more bloodthirsty creatures escaped to our world.

Samuel Chester is a Guardian, and his fate as a thief ends when he stumbles upon someone on one fateful day.

Suddenly the world depends on Sam to be the one to close the doors and end this bloodshed for good. However there are people who will stop at nothing to prevent this from happening, people who are willing to commit very real murder to beat Sam to this accomplishment. Now the only way for Sam to survive is to fight.
