Buzzkill [Winter Soldier]

50 parts Complete

Sold to a facility at six years old to be raised as an assassin, Sweden-born Ruth Rogers was trained by whatever means necessary to become a lethal weapon. As she grew older, Ruth struggled with the reality that her memory had never been wiped like others around her but completed missions to obey the woman who commanded her. Ruth perfected her craft and quickly became known as the sly assassin Buzzkill. After suffering heavy losses, the facility was discovered and raided by SHIELD authorities. Before they could catch her, Ruth escaped SHIELD's reach and tried to live on her own for the first time in the eighteen years she's been alive. Feeling guilt for what she has done, Ruth agrees to aggressive experimentation to clear her record which ultimately results in devastating effects on her body and mind. Ruth struggles to survive as she continues to clear her conscience, becoming allies with the Winter Soldier in the process. Can Buzzkill and the Winter Soldier become strong enough to escape the place that controls them? Can they both learn to live with the consequences of their pasts while fighting their present demons? ************************************************************************************* Some characters, places, and agencies within the story belong to Marvel.
