The moon had always been a source of comfort in the darkness, a reminder that even the loneliest nights would eventually find their light.

For as long as she could remember, Chandra Akessia had wondered what it would feel like to be someone's first choice, to have someone stay when everyone else had already left. Someone who would see the parts of her she kept hidden and still reach for her without hesitation.

She often saw herself as a forgotten lamp, left untouched and covered in dust, with a flame that had grown faint over time but had never truly gone out.
