My eyelids fluttered open, gracefully greeting Gardenview's morning sun. I let out a light yawn, "Carpe diem, world!" I exclaimed as I hop out of bed. Just then, I saw it, him... not HIM him, but the other guy... Sprout. He leaned on the wall right next to my desk, not only that but he looked infuriated.
"Y/n. We need to have a chat. Now." he demanded.
It's only then when it occurred to me what he's been holding.
Congratulations, you're a toon in the golden age of Dandy's World! But, what's a show without a little drama? You're mad in love with Gardenview's signature bully Shrimpo. Of course, you'd never tell anyone, so all your lovey-dovey thoughts lie hidden in your secret journal. What could possibly go wrong?
Author's Note: Hi guys! I wanna clarify a few things before you start reading.
1. Reader is a gender neutral toon. (It might not match exactly with how you invision yourself, and I apologize in advance if I mischaracterize you)
2. Tbh this is like an everytoon x reader, but I might leave some toons out on accident (Obviously no Pebble, Toddles, Gourdy, etc.)
3. This is kinda an AU in the sense that Dandy's World is still an up and running TV show. So there will most likely be mentions of toon handlers and kids, but they probably won't be present for much of the story.
4. Prob will be a little to a lot OOC

She was a main character with a passion and specialty for archaeology and paleontology, and as a main character she had a theme revolving around dinosaurs and other prehistoric life. Despite her wonderful role and subject, Shelly was far less as popular as the other main characters. Many of the visitors of Gardenview ignored her, her creators began to push her aside, and even her own friends began to grow distant away from her. It seemed like almost everyone around her was blatantly ignoring her. Shelly was deeply hurt by this. She was upset. Although with that, Shelly tried to be as optimistic as possible even whilst having her sorrow. Then, a nightmarish being from within the roots of her mind had appeared. The nightmare told her hurtful but truthful words, and to do things that she wouldn't ever want to. Shelly tried to resist. But the more she was treated in an undesirable way, the more she understood what the nightmare had said. The combination of the blatant ignorance of her existence and the dark force within her mind had started to enrage and break her, slowly turning her for the absolute worst . . . Now, the once friendly Toon is slowly nearing to the breaking point of something monstrous, potentially bringing danger and wrath to all of Gardenview.. Dandy, the Star of the Show, has done something horrible to his fellow Toons. He has infected all of them with a black substance called Ichor. Ichor, however, was highly toxic for humans, but not for Toons. Toons had Ichor already in their systems, but an overdose of the substance would cause them to transform into ferocious beasts, always looking for Toons to kill. One by one, each of the beloved characters went missing, each of them last being seen going under the Center, never to be seen again.. Your loneliness has finally gotten up to you, and you can no longer handle it. And so you, the newest member of the GardenView Crew, has decided to go under the center, in search of your missing friends. But little did you know, there's tons of dark secrets and an untold truth, of the GardenView Center. Will you make it out alive on this treacherous adventure? (All of these Characters are not mine. Sprout falls for the worst toon imaginable according to everybody else and continuously says he's not that bad while Sprout tries to get Shrimpo for himself, Shrimpo can't seem to understand why Sprout cares, he is battling with conflicting emotions and can't seem to believe what sprout says. On the otherhand Cosmo finds out about Sprout's little crush and is infuriated by the entire thing. (REWRITING) Loose Strings (Dandy's World AU)
Hello! I am sprinklutzzz, and you are reading my OLD, BAD fanfic on the Roblox game, Dandy's World. This is a description on what this is about and a list of things to note as you read. So, let's dive in! Loose Strings, previously called The Ichor Operation (28/4/2025 - 23/10/2025), is similar to what Dandy's World is about: Toons are trapped in the Gardenview Education Center and Museum, which has closed on June 29th, 2002 due to allegations, lack of safety regulations, and a malfunction occuring. Now, they must survive with what they have, while doing machines to keep themselves alive. (This is why I think machines are done. Yes, I changed it.) Be careful though, don't touch the mysterious black substance called Ichor, or it'll turn you Twisted & thirsty for more. You wouldn't want to hurt your friends, right? (So much.. cringe.... *SOB* ｡°(°¯᷄◠¯᷅°)°｡) Things to note: " " = Someone is talking. ' " = Someone is thinking & saying something at the same time. ' ' = Someone is thinking. " ' ' " = Something is quoted. ' " " ' = Someone is signing something. I started writing this fanfic on April 28th, 2025 on Grammarly. I try to keep a high readability score + have good grammar, but there are some mistakes! Let me know if you see any! I've also used words to replace the word "said" from a website since I get sick of using "said" a lot!
